Dr. Courtney Weeks, Doctor of Physical Therapy, has always had a passion for health and wellness and grew up in the Orange County area. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in which she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. She received her doctorate at California State University, Long Beach.

Her passion for health and wellness started in high school where she was an avid runner and ran cross country and track earning 6 MVPs over the 4 years at Villa Park High School. She was involved in research in her undergraduate career at Northern Arizona University, investigating the joint mechanics on the alter-G treadmill in runners. While working towards her doctorate degree at California State University, Long Beach, she investigated the effects of decreasing patellofemoral joint stress in asymptomatic runners with a forward trunk lean. This research was presented in Washington, D.C. in 2019 at the national physical therapy conference CSM, as well as a subsequent research journal publication in June of 2020.

While obtaining her doctorate degree, she completed her pelvic health 1 specialty certification at Harman and Wallace as well as clinical rotation at Kaiser treating orthopedics as well as the pelvic health population . She continues to pursue continuing education for her pelvic specialty as she has a passion to help validate women and their symptoms while regaining their overall quality of life. Additional clinical rotations include inpatient orthopedics at Hoag Hospital and Sutter Health in CA, as well as outpatient orthopedic and neurologic specialty at Plexus Physical Therapy in Moorpark, CA.

Dr. Courtney has a passion for helping others as well as customizing each treatment session to best target specific impairments. She is highly flexible modifying patient treatments and exercises based on how the individual’s body responds and listens to her patients respecting their opinions and values. She is amazed by the capability of the body and its ability to always adapt. Dr. Courtney strives to educate her patients ensuring each patient understands the contributing factors to their specific diagnosis and maintains constant communication with her patients treating the body as a whole. She cares deeply for her patients and strives to give them the tools to take charge of their life.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking at our national parks or locally and spending time outside seeking out the next adventure. She loves to travel, garden, and cook with her fiance as well as spend time with their dog “Moose.
